    Don’t spread misinformation! The Zoroastrianism is a polytheistic religion, because they believe in many gods other than Ahura Mazda. There are academic discussions if their belief is centered on on supreme deity, or they simply had a hierarchy of their gods. Anyway, Zoroastrianism could be at most Henotheism!

    Why did you call it Palestine during this version. It was never called Palestine until the Roman's occupied it. It was changed as an insult to the Judaeans/ Judah /Jewish people. So you referring to this area conquered by Nebucchadnezzar as Palestine would be incorrect as this was hundreds of years before Roman's came

    • @HistoryExplained
      @HistoryExplained 22 години тому

      I was referring specifically to Palestine the historical geographical region. That’s a mouthful, so I just wrote “Palestine”. I’ve received countless comments about this, but this is the first time that I’m giving a proper response. It’s interesting how passionate people are about this term “The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century BCE occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv-Yafo and Gaza. The name was revived by the Romans in the 2nd century CE in “Syria Palaestina,” designating the southern portion of the province of Syria, and made its way thence into Arabic, where it has been used to describe the region at least since the early Islamic era.” -Britannica

      Catholics practiced child sacrifice for centuries, we just don't call it that, because they and their Protestant offshoots wrote the occidental history books and never would have painted themselves in such a negative light.

    Great video, just one small correction the name of the region of the levant where the kingdom of Judea was, wasn’t called Palestine when King Nebuchadnezzar invaded it. In the early 2nd century CE, the Roman Empire renamed the province of Judaea to Syria Palaestina, which translates to "Palestinian Syria". The name change may have occurred before or after the Bar Kokhba Revolt of 132-136 CE, when the Romans crushed the revolt and conquered Jerusalem and Judea. The name change was an attempt to reduce Jewish identification with the land of Israel by naming it after two of their traditional enemies, the Syrians and the Philistines

    So I guess in a round about way you're telling us the historical origin of the Palestinians! Wow it really clears up many things! Nebuchadnezzar conquered Judah and carried away the "Top percentage of the population, the elite, the craftsmen, the innovators, the useful portion! So the Victor takes the Jews into captivity leaving the useless dregs, the scum of the earth, the non-contributing always taking never giving portion of the population in a destroyed Jerusalem👎 So since Judah is in captivity (no Jews) what are you left with? ans. Palestinians, no capital or country, no Promise in more ways than none!

    Rameses II hardly deserves the title of "Greatest Pharoah". He managed to lose all the Asiatic territories conquered by his predecessor Tutmose III who ought to be known as the "Greatest Pharaoh". At the battle of Kadesh he basically stumbled into an ambush, and managed by great luck and some skill, to escape with his life, and yet proclaimed it a great victory. Amazingly, the Hitite account of the same battle, a more sober and relatively objective account also exists, as well as the treaty between the two countries, showing that this military campaign on the part of Rameses was less than a stunning victory.
